About the API 3124V
The API 3124V is four channels of API's signature 2520 op-amp + transformer-coupled preamp circuit — the punchy, fast, top-end-forward sound that made 80s rock records sound like 80s rock records. Routinely racked next to a touring digital console to put real API on drum overheads, snare top/bottom, and lead vox. Variable input impedance per channel adds tonal flexibility — flip it down for vintage warmth, up for modern clarity.
